At the age of 16, Massive G (born Gabriel COSNIER) launches the Rock The Nation Sound with two friends, also fans of reggae and hip hop and starts to host several afro-caribbean shows and parties in the West of France. Due to some geographic reasons, the crew has to split in 2005, in good terms. Massive G, then established next to the German border, keeps the name of ROCK THE NATION SOUND on his own, and digs his own way into the reggae community in Europe, Jamaica and United States.
In 2007, he releases the mixtapes "Blood Pressure" vol. 01 and vol. 02, in which he melts reggae and West Coast rap. On his way to a recording session with MDK (aka Mr. Don't Know) in Germany, he brings some of his mixtapes with him. MDK, young Californian MC, protégé of the West Coast giant Game, is seduced by the vibes and Massive G gets in touch with BlackWallStreet Europe, the European wing of the BlackWallStreet (Game's label). Massive G naturally becomes the promoter of this young movement for the French-speaking community.
In January 2008, Massive G, strong of his recently learnt promoting/communicating skillz, releases his first well aired mix-cd: "Top Shottaz Are Back", a dancehall mixtape, on Myspace (free download). The relative succes it gets encourages Massive G to go on, and his next mixtape "Blood Pressure Vol. 03", is distributed physically (2000 copies sold in Paris and London during the Summer 2008).
The name of Rock The Nation Sound get carried all the way to Miami, Florida, where resides Jamaican rapper Tafari, who happens to be the son of the legendary reggae artist Big Youth. Tafari gets at Massive G to work on his street album "Real Rude Bwoy Tafari", which knows a great succes in Florida, Jamaica and Europe. Massive G carries on with the mix-cd series "Secret Love" (16 volumes of reggae/dancehall and remixes).
On early 2009, Massive G makes his firts step into the producer world when he decides to help CeeKaiH (upcoming reggae artist from Jamaica) building his debut mixtape. " The Pre Game Show", which will release early 2010. He also teams up with S.Con Promotions (from Washington D.C.) to release "The Science Of Colors", a mixtape realised in order to introduce Chromatics (hip hop artist from Trinidad and Tobago) to the French public.
