DJ KOOL HERC BIRTHDAY PARTY @ SUTRA LOUNGE>>>>
Last night it was such an honor to be in the building with the greats of our kulture to help celebrate the birthday of DJ Kool Herc!!
Dj Evil Dee, Dj June, Dj Tony Touch and even Kool Herc blazed up the 1's and 2's keeping the crowd moving and even at times as wild as an mosh pit at a Cypress Hill concert. Tony Toca hit us up with the latin music and had all the hips swaying to the beats of drums and trumpets.
Easy Mo Bee was there to support... it has been a while since I have seen this OG Producer but as a true passionate music man he is still in the studios on a regular basis working on major things. Afrika Bambaataa was there in full effect as Kool Herc hit the tables with his miner light over his head... spinning vinyl which isn't too common in NYC clubs anymore it seems.
Craig G, Grandmaster Caz, Primo and many more came through to show major love.... shot out also to Amo 1, Will Lewis, De'Jan, Elliot, Alexis, DJ Manny and Kerri OConnel of GoodWood NYC!!!
I had such a good time and for all those that didn't show up you definitely missed out... and I heard so many say... yeah yeah the old heads I had to get out and make money... BUT one day these heads won't be here and once the originals are gone, they are gone! So my advise is to never take for granted when royalty is in your reach.
